Labor & Delivery Rooms

Nine modern private birthing suites with showers and ipod docking stations are available. The labor and delivery staff consists of midwives, attending physicians and anesthesiologist providing 24-hour coverage. Experienced Obstetrical RNs care for mothers in labor as well as provide outpatient triage of pregnant women. Hospital Laborists are on call around the clock with a neonatal nurse practitioner on duty 24 hours a day for stabilization of the newborn after delivery.   

  • Golden Hour: This is a special time for baby and parents immediately following birth to promote bonding. The Golden Hour is for mom and dad or the main support person only.

Mother Baby Unit

Our contemporary rooms provide comfort and privacy for moms and newborns during their stay. We encourage up to date practices in maternity care for all of our newborns and parents that include:

  • Skin to Skin: Contact promoted for both formula and breast fed babies. 
  • Rooming In: All babies remain in the room with the mother 24 hours a day to initiate the bonding process. Information is available on the importance of this for moms and newborns.

We offer 11 private labor and delivery rooms designed with both the comforts of home and the modern technology needed to welcome your new baby safely into this world.

Family and friends are welcome to wait in the Labor and Delivery Suite waiting room. The cafeteria seating area is located on the first floor and open to visitors 24 hours a day.

Our private, spacious maternity rooms are designed with your comfort in mind. Extra privacy and a home-like environment allow you to enjoy your baby with your family and friends. Every room has a private bathroom for your convenience. Your partner or significant other is encouraged to spend the night with you to help them get to know your baby and participate in the care of your newborn.

Our team of specialists includes a neonatal resuscitative provider (NRP) and many lactation consultants. All of our nurses are NRP certified and IBLC Lactation consultants are available seven days a week. We also offer a fetal monitoring system that keeps an eye on the well-being of your baby, with information accessible throughout the OB area.
